Why $100
Home Media Hub runs on hardware you already own, so there’s no service to keep paying for. $100, once, is what keeps the software maintained.
The license
One owner, one server at a time.
What it covers
- One server at a timeWindows or macOS, installed with the manager. When you replace a computer, release its seat from the manager, or from the My servers page if the old one is gone.
- The web and iPhone apps, freeBrowse, search and play your library from a browser or an iPhone. Neither needs a key, and they don’t count as your server.
- A 14-day trial on every serverEvery server gets 14 days of full use from its first start. After that, browsing, search, playback and sign-in keep working. Only the job queue (scans, thumbnails, clip exports, commands and plugins) waits until a key is entered, and then it runs.
- Activate once, then offlineA server gets its license from our activation service once, when you enter the key. After that it checks the license itself, and only contacts us again if you release its seat.
- Version 1 updatesFixes and improvements in version 1 are included.
What it doesn’t
- A second server at the same timeOne is the limit. A key can give back three seats in any 30 days, which covers replacing a computer but not moving one key around a fleet.
- Hosting it for other peopleRunning Home Media Hub as a service for customers needs a separate arrangement. Ask.
- RedistributionThe license lets you run it. It doesn’t let you publish, resell or bundle it, or share your key. That’s Home Media Hub’s own software: the ffmpeg it includes is yours to redistribute under its own license.
- A promise about version 2If there’s ever a paid upgrade, it’ll be explained when it happens, and it won’t disable the version you already bought.

The live activation service at home-media-hub.dwmmholdings.com accepts Home Media Hub keys, a key covers one server, a second is refused, and the seat can be released from the manager and from My servers. Checked with a real server against the live service.

A one-time $100 USD price in Stripe, and a webhook endpoint for Home Media Hub whose signed purchase and refund events have been verified in Stripe’s sandbox.

Key email delivery and recovery
The key shown after payment is also emailed to the buyer from the verified sending domain, and the resend page sends it again.

End-to-end payment and license verification
Checkout, key delivery, activation on one server, refusal of a second, server management, duplicate payment notifications and refunds, checked in an isolated sandbox before purchases open.
Refunds
30 days, no questions.
If it doesn’t work for you, ask within 30 days and you’ll be refunded. You don’t need a reason, and there’s no form to fill in or anything to prove.
Your email asking for the refund is enough, and it will be honored. Before you buy, the 14-day trial lets you try Home Media Hub with your own drives.

There’s no account to sign in to. The key is the whole of it, and these pages work from the key or the email address you paid with.
- Activate a serverIn Home Media Hub Manager on that computer, open Licence, paste the key and press Activate. It happens once; after it the license is checked on the server, offline.
- Lost your keyEnter the email address you paid with and every key bought with it is sent there again.
- My serversSee which server holds the key’s seat, and release it if it’s gone. A key can release 3 seats in any 30 days.
